When I'm not writing, there's a good chance I'm thinking about whatever I'm going to write next, building playlists for fictional people, planning another trip, watching something I will inevitably become far too emotionally invested in, or finding a way to connect a country song to a story.

I'm a Canadian author with a soft spot for small towns, summer nights, handwritten letters, nostalgia, and stories about the people we once knew - and the people we become along the way.

I love romance that lets its characters be complicated. The kind with laughter beside grief, hope beside heartbreak, ordinary moments that end up meaning everything, and happily ever afters that feel earned rather than inevitable.

Maybe that's why I keep writing about home - not only as a place, but as a person, a memory, a feeling, or sometimes the life we have to find our way back to.
